Africa: Over 282,000 Covid-19 Vaccinations Administered Across Continent

As of April 20, 2022, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached  11,465,800 while over 282,567,569 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.

Reported deaths in Africa reached   252,640 and   9,646,671 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases of  3,743,582 and  100,195 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco (   1,164,467 ) , Tunisia (  1,039,532 ), Egypt (  515,645 ), Libya ( 501,862 ),  Ethiopia (  470,305 ), and Kenya (  323,630 ).

The numbers are compiled by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University (world map) using statistics from the World Health Organization and other international institutions as well as national and regional public health departments.
